En observant les racines historiques et sociales de tels mouvements, il devient rapidement facile de constater les liens ind\u00e9niables entre les racines de la colonisation globale &amp; le monde capitaliste tel que nous le connaissons pr\u00e9sentement avec les discours apocalyptiques. Ces derniers ont et continuent de perp\u00e9tuellement d\u00e9savantager les communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es, notamment les communaut\u00e9s afrodiasporiques. &#8220;States of Intermeshing, viii. what is past is prologue&#8221; explore donc la relation intrins\u00e8que de la d\u00e9shumanisation des communaut\u00e9s noires avec le discours apocalyptique visant l\u2019extraction de ressources \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9 et une recherche d\u2019une lib\u00e9ration post-coloniale. By observing the historical and social roots of such movements, it quickly becomes easy to see the undeniable links between the roots of global colonization, the capitalist world as we know it today and apocalyptic discourses. These have, and continue, to perpetually disadvantage marginalized communities, especially Afrodiasporic communities. &#8220;States of Intermeshing, viii. what is past is prologue&#8221; therefore explores the intrinsic relationship of the dehumanization of Black communities with apocalyptic discourse aimed at a urge to perpetual ressources extraction, It is also a search for post-colonial liberation. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, je me suis int\u00e9ress\u00e9e \u00e0 notre relation avec le futur, en particulier \u00e0 ce que le futur repr\u00e9sente \u00e0 travers le concept d\u2019apocalypse. Il semble que notre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 nous indique, de multiples fa\u00e7ons, qu\u2019un devenir nouveau de nos conditions est imminent, que des cataclysmes plus grands que ce que nous pouvons concevoir sont en train de se former. Et si nous \u00e9tions d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans ce futur ? Et si l\u2019apocalypse avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 eu lieu, avec tous ces corps enfouis dans les profondeurs de l\u2019Atlantique ? In the last few years I\u2019ve been interested in our connection to the future, in particular what the future constitutes through the lense of the apocalypse. It seems as if the world is telling us in many ways that a new becoming of our realities is imminent, cataclysms bigger than we could conceptualize are forming themselves. But what if we\u2019re already living in that future? And what if the apocalypse has already been realized, with all the bodies buried in the depth of the Atlantic?
